Fanboy Entertainment was founded in 2014 by Memphis native John Cooley with the goal of producing the greatest superhero, sci-fi and fantasy stories imaginable from the most amazing talent that could be found. His eclectic influences are those such as Kyle Baker, Frank Miller, George Perez, John Byrne, Denys Cowan, Masamune Shirow & Ryoichi Ikegami.

John Cooley is an American-born science fiction and fantasy writer based out of Memphis, TN. Although he draws inspiration from mainstream popular culture, John’s writing concentrates on the unique views of people of color. John’s first written story, The Binary, was published by  Warner Aspect Books in 2001. In 2015, John launched his comic book publishing company, Fanboy Entertainment. The company has sold thousands of original comics, which include Warrior Breed, Rise of the Golden Dragon, Mr. Omega & Gauge Boson. In 2021 John started his own film production company, Fanboy Films. Its first feature-length project, Convergence is currently in pre-production.
